Metro Area Map polygons are the grid boxes used for Metro Map production of city maps that do not fit on an E Size Sheet at 1:15,840 scale. This grid is used for map making and cartographic purposes at the SCDOT. The original grid covers the entire state of SC. The new metro area sheets may or may not align with the original grid.
We created a new feature attribute called VINTAGE to indicate the year of the map series (2012, 2018, 2025) for queries. The Metro Sheets were updated while the Limits of Map Area were updated in April of 2025. |
